And yes, that's an interesting combination.
For years, our careers have been about taking care of people, listening carefully, solving problems, managing details, and staying calm when things don't exactly go according to plan.
Eventually, we realized those skills translate surprisingly well to travel.
Thankfully, vacation planning usually involves significantly fewer flashing lights.
How On a Whim Began
Travel has always been something we love—not just taking trips, but researching them, talking about them, and figuring out what makes one vacation completely different from another.
After years in the travel industry, we wanted to build an agency that felt more like us.
Personal.
Relaxed.
Knowledgeable without being stuffy.
And focused on helping people find the vacation that's right for them, rather than simply selling whatever trip happens to be on promotion.

What It's Like to Work With Us
You don't need to know the name of the ship.
You don't need to know which Caribbean island.
You don't need to understand cruise cabins, resort categories, rail passes, transfers, travel insurance, or whether you should spend three nights or five nights in Rome.
That's our job.

We'll ask questions, learn how you like to travel, research the options, and help turn that idea into an actual trip.
